African American Heroes of World War II - A trio of short films documenting the contributions made by African Americans during WWII. "From These Beginnings" charts the inception of Alabama's Tuskegee Institute for training black airmen. "Jubilee" chronicles the popular black radio broadcasts shipped from Hollywood to Armed Forces Radio. And "Tuskegee Airmen" follows Yancy Williams' suit against the war department, resulting in blacks being granted the right to military training.
