Giro Ionos Bike Helmet - Giro introduces the top-of-the-line Ionos (pronounced eye-oh-nOs) road bike helmet. After three years in the development process, Ionos was tested by 27 riders who together logged over 50,000 miles in the '07 Tour de France. Based on their feedback, Giro developed its lightest, coolest, toughest helmet yetthe Ionos. Through Giro's careful sculpting, weight scrutinization and use of lightweight materials, the Ionos seems to disappear when you put it on. Ionos is built around 21 massive vents and features a system of ventilation channels throughout the liner. Internal exhaust channels thrust cool, fresh air over and around the head while forcing heat and stale air out. In-mold technology fuses the liner with the microshell to create an exo-skeleton that's light, cool, and exceptionally durable.
